FQE Power is seeking a Business Development professional with a strong technical foundation in the power industry. This is not a general sales role. We are looking for someone who understands how power projects are developed and executed, knows how to engage technically with clients, and can position specialized services within complex project environments.

This individual will be responsible for identifying and developing opportunities with owners, EPC contractors, OEMs, and industrial clients involved in new build, outage, upgrade, and plant performance initiatives. The role requires building relationships, qualifying opportunities early, understanding client pain points, and positioning FQE Power’s technical services as risk-reduction and schedule-acceleration solutions.

The right person will be able to sell value, not just price, and will be comfortable discussing project execution challenges tied to commissioning, startup, temporary systems, schedule recovery, equipment protection, and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand relationships with power sector clients, including owners, EPCs, OEMs, and key subcontracting partners
  • Identify new opportunities aligned with FQE Power’s specialized service offerings, including SigmaCommissioning™, precommissioning, commissioning, steam blows, chemical cleaning, flushing, and startup support
  • Engage clients early in the project lifecycle to position FQE Power where technical differentiation and execution capability matter most
  • Track market activity, project pipelines, bid opportunities, and strategic accounts within the power generation sector
  • Work closely with internal technical and commercial teams to align client needs with practical, high-value solutions
  • Support proposal strategy, client presentations, and commercial positioning with a clear understanding of project risk, schedule pressure, and execution demands
  • Represent FQE Power in a credible, professional manner with clients who expect technical depth and industry knowledge

Qualifications

  • Engineering background or strong technical experience in power generation, commissioning, startup, outage execution, or related industrial services is required
  • Direct experience in the power sector is required; candidates from generic sales backgrounds without relevant industry exposure will not be considered
  • Demonstrated ability to develop business with technically sophisticated clients in complex project environments
  • Strong understanding of power plant project execution, including the roles of owners, EPCs, OEMs, and commissioning stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate technical value clearly and translate client needs into practical service solutions
  • Experience in business development, account growth, opportunity development, and market intelligence within the energy or power sector
  • Self-directed and capable of operating remotely while maintaining a high level of accountability and commercial focus

Preferred Profile

  • Existing network within the power generation market
  • Experience selling specialized field services rather than commodity products
  • Comfort working in technically demanding, schedule-driven project environments
  • Ability to identify where FQE Power can create value through risk mitigation, schedule recovery, and improved commissioning outcomes
